Ambassador Emails

The U.S. Embassy in Lomé, Togo has become aware of a number of fraudulent schemes misrepresenting the name and identity of the U.S. Ambassador to Togo, Patricia Hawkins.  The emails give the appearance of legitimacy using a seemingly official e-mail address.  The e-mails are typically ‘verifying’ fraudulent businesses allegedly based in Togo.  The Ambassador does not send out emails endorsing companies or organizations and these e-mails should be considered as part of an illegal scam to defraud those receiving them.
